I’m a freelance copywriter and content marketing consultant based in Knutsford, near Manchester in the UK. I have over 12 years’ agency, in-house and freelance experience.

Why am I a copywriter?
12 years ago, I was living in Buenos Aires.
I’d studied languages and ended up at uni there, falling in love with the place and then going back after graduating.
I was working for a financial services company and I knew it wasn’t for me. What I did enjoy, though, was taking incredibly dry, complex information and rewriting it in ways people could actually understand and even find interesting.
I started looking into copywriting jobs, did some writing for local companies and ended up getting a job with a digital agency.
I worked my way up to run the content team there and I’ve been a copywriter and copy editor ever since, leading content teams in agencies and in-house comms departments, working with brands like Glyndebourne, Distrelec, DW Fitness, Visa, ESL Schools, eHarmony, Farfetch, Ann Summers and Topman.
I think people tend to overcomplicate content marketing, and I try to keep it simple and creative.
I help businesses articulate their values and become confident publishers of high-quality content. I can do it all for you or help you do it yourself.
It’s been really great working with Chris. His rounded knowledge on how to optimise content in our outreach activities has helped us develop two new content platforms for Distrelec putting the customer front and centre: a high-end magazine and a resources hub underpinning our brand and SEO strategies.
